Linda A. Miller, CPA

FOUNDER

Born and raised in Paducah, KY, Linda Miller has spent her career dedicated to serving the financial needs of her community. After time spent living in Columbia and St. Louis, Missouri, she returned to Paducah in 1980 and moved back into the same Jefferson Street home where she grew up. In 1984, she earned her MBA from Murray State University and soon after passed the CPA exam.

Linda began her accounting career with Schutte & Taylor CPAs before co-founding the firm Miller & Nanni in 1987. In April 1998, she established her own firm, L.A. Miller, CPA, PSC, relocating to the current office on Nahm Street—a space that has grown with the firm’s expanding services and team.

As Principal of the firm, Linda oversees the tax and accounting departments, provides consulting services, and works closely with clients on tax planning, return preparation, and financial matters. Known for her genuine care and personal touch, Linda takes pride in building lasting relationships with her clients—many of whom she’s worked with for decades. She’s passionate about the work that many dread, bringing clarity and confidence to complex tax issues.

Beyond the office, Linda has been a committed community leader. She has served on the boards of the Paducah Power Company, the Paducah Chamber of Commerce, and Market House Theatre. Since 2004, she has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Carson Center, supporting the arts and cultural development in the region.

In her personal time, Linda enjoys spending time with her daughter, Maxi Kolb, and grandson, Max. She also makes frequent trips to St. Louis with friends to enjoy theatre performances and cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals.

SHERRY WADE

Sherry has been a valued member of the L.A. Miller & Associates team since 1991. A proud graduate of Murray State University with a degree in Business and Accounting, she brings a unique combination of financial expertise, entrepreneurial insight, and a genuine passion for client service. Sherry thrives on building relationships with clients and works closely with each one to connect them to the right departments within the firm, ensuring every aspect of their financial needs is addressed with care and precision.

Raised on a family farm in Marshall County, Sherry’s career path is as diverse as it is dynamic. She previously owned and operated Grand Rivers Antiques, a successful retail business in Livingston County, and has experience managing both residential and commercial rental properties. Her business background gives her a real-world understanding of the challenges clients face and fuels her commitment to helping them grow and succeed.

Deeply involved in community service, Sherry has served on several local boards, including Hope Unlimited, Merryman House, and the Grand Rivers Tourism Commission. She currently chairs the Finance Committee at Grand Rivers Baptist Church and continues to give back to the Grand Rivers community through her work with the Chamber of Commerce and various civic and faith-based organizations.

When she’s not at the office, Sherry finds joy in serving others, investing in her community, and supporting causes that matter to her.

Misty Stevens

Senior Staff Accountant

Misty Stevens is a seasoned financial professional with deep roots in Carlisle County. Her passion for numbers and organization began early while working in her father’s construction business, where she developed a strong foundation in bookkeeping. A 1990 graduate of Bethel Christian Academy, Misty has remained grounded in her faith and values throughout her life and career.

She joined L.A. Miller & Associates in March 2006 as a receptionist, quickly proving herself as a capable and driven team member. Her skills and dedication led her to take on roles in both the Payroll and Bookkeeping Departments. In 2018, Misty became an Enrolled Agent after successfully passing the IRS Special Enrollment Examination—a milestone that marked her transition into the Tax Department, where she now assists clients with complex tax matters with care, clarity, and professionalism.

Misty is one of six siblings in a large, close-knit family that includes 10 nieces and nephews and 20 great-nieces and nephews. Her life is centered on faith, family, and service, and she brings that same heart and dedication to every client she serves.

Aundrea Wilson

Office Manager

Aundrea Wilson is an entrepreneurial leader, strategist, and connector who has served as Director of Operations at L.A. Miller & Associates since 2012. She earned her Life Coaching Certification in 2009 while attending Murray State University, where she studied many human disciplines including psychology, philosophy, sociology, and business. She graduated cum laude in 2010 with a Bachelor of Integrated Studies degree. At L.A. Miller, Aundrea’s primary focus is on team building, along with overseeing operations, client service, and serving as the firm’s on-site software and equipment handler.

In 2024, Aundrea launched Collab-Works, a boutique-style space attached to the L.A. Miller Midtown location. Originally created as a coworking hub, Collab-Works has since evolved into a podcast production company that also offers private coworking memberships in a sensory-driven, human-first environment. A second downtown Paducah location is set to open in early summer 2025.

Collab-Works was born from a dream to do more—more for small businesses, more for entrepreneurs, and more for the people behind them. Partnering with L.A. Miller, Collab-Works actively works to engage community support for both aspiring entrepreneurs and seasoned professionals, offering access to resources, mentorship, and a network of professionals who care deeply about sustainable growth and real-life success stories.

Aundrea also co-hosts two original podcasts—Collab-Works Unscripted and Amphibian—both of which highlight the raw, unscripted journeys of local business owners, startups, and small-town innovators. Whether she’s leading a team, producing a podcast, or building platforms for others to shine, Aundrea brings vision, empathy, and community-centered energy to everything she does.

RENAE WALDROP

Senior Staff Accountant / Payoll

Renae Waldrop is a Paducah native who has spent her adult life in nearby Metropolis, Illinois, where she and her husband raised their daughter. She began her career in accounts receivable in 2002 and discovered a passion for payroll and client service soon after.

Renae joined L.A. Miller & Associates in 2014 and has since taken the lead in managing the firm’s Payroll Department. She oversees the day-to-day operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and personalized support for each client. Her role goes beyond processing—she works closely with business owners to assist with payroll tax preparation, employee retention strategies, and budgeting for payroll expenses.

Known for her reliability and client-focused approach, Renae values the relationships she’s built over the years and enjoys being a trusted resource for the businesses she serves.

Merissa Rawson

PAYROLL & TAX DEPARTMENT

Merissa joined the L.A. Miller & Associates team in 2015, bringing with her a diverse professional background and a deep commitment to serving others. Originally raised as an Army brat, she spent her childhood across the southern United States and even spent time overseas in Germany before graduating high school in Huntsville, Alabama. She made the Paducah area her permanent home in 2008.

Prior to her career in accounting, Merissa worked as a case manager for misdemeanor probationers in the court system, where she developed a strong foundation in organization, compliance, and client support. Seeking a new challenge, she transitioned into the accounting field and quickly discovered a passion for tax work.

At L.A. Miller, Merissa focuses primarily on payroll taxes and individual income tax preparation. She thrives on problem-solving and enjoys the complexity and precision that tax work requires. Merissa is married to her best friend, and together they share a lively blended family of six adult children and several beloved grandchildren.

Alexis Edwards knows that behind every financial statement is a story – and she’s dedicated to helping clients write theirs with clarity and confidence. With over 16 years of experience in accounting and small business consulting. She understands that numbers can feel overwhelming, and her mission is to simplify the process—so her clients can focus on what they do best. From balancing books and planning for tax season to identifying strategies for growth, Alexis is committed to making finances more manageable and less stressful.

Alexis believes that financial guidance starts with listening. She takes time to understand each client’s unique story, goals, and challenges, then works alongside them to build a customized financial roadmap for success. Known for her meticulous attention to detail, insightful analysis, and ability to translate financial data into actionable guidance, Alexis combines strong technical expertise with a deeply personal approach.

Outside of the office, Alexis is a proud wife and mother. She has been married to her husband, A.G. Edwards, for 16 years, and together they have three children—Brook, Chance, and Kyler. Alexis is actively involved in her church and her community, serving as a Chamber Connector with the Paducah Chamber of Commerce. Her family and her community are central to everything she does and continue to inspire both her professional work and personal values.

Deena Toon

Accountant / Payroll

Deena Toon joined L.A. Miller & Associates in January 2023, bringing with her a strong background in Human Services and a growing passion for accounting. A Paducah native, Deena is proud to serve the community she calls home.

She holds a degree in Applied Technologies from West Kentucky Community & Technical College, where she earned a place on the Dean’s List. In addition to her academic achievements, Deena has completed 13 specialized certificates in accounting, further strengthening her skills and expertise in the field.

With over three years of hands-on experience in accounting, Deena combines her attention to detail with a client-focused mindset. Her work is shaped by her years in Human Services, where she developed a deep appreciation for people, service, and clear communication.

Outside the office, Deena is most proud of her son, who serves with the West McCracken Fire Department. His dedication inspires her daily.

Bethany Andrews

Accountant / Bookkeeper

Bethany brings a dynamic and well-rounded background to the L.A. Miller & Associates team, with experience in bookkeeping and accounting dating back to 2000, when she began working at her father’s cell phone business shortly after graduation. Her professional journey has taken her through various industries, including a unique chapter as a flight attendant beginning in 2016—following in her mother’s footsteps—which took her from Atlanta to Dallas-Fort Worth.

After several years in the tradeshow industry working alongside her husband, Bethany and her family made the intentional decision to seek a slower-paced, more fulfilling lifestyle. Their research led them to Paducah, where they relocated in 2024—and quickly fell in love with the community and its vibrant culture.

Bethany joined L.A. Miller & Associates in July 2024, drawn by the firm’s commitment to both professional excellence and personal growth. She values the strong, intentional relationships built with clients and appreciates being part of a team that encourages continued learning and development.

Outside the office, Bethany enjoys cultivating her acre of land into a thriving wildlife habitat. Her family’s property features native wildflowers for pollinators, a grove of fruit trees and berries, and a vegetable garden—reflecting the same thoughtful care and planning she brings to her work.
